Race Management is responsible for running all racing at Mordialloc Sailing Club. They lay out the buoys to mark the course, run starts and record finishes, operate safety boats to support the sailors and in the Tower maintain a safety watch across the course and enter and publish race results.
The Race Management team is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers who enjoy their involvement in running Race Management and spending time together. During the year they are involved in running the Club racing program, Club regattas, like Sail Mordi, State Championships and typically send a number of the team to work at the ISAF event, Sail Melbourne.
The Race Management team at Mordialloc Sailing Club has built a reputation for their high standard of race management and is fortunate to have a wealth of experience and Race Officers accredited at Club, State and International level.
Like all volunteer groups the Race Management team is always looking for new people to join the team. There is no requirement for people to have a lot of experience in sailing to join the Race Management team as we run a Race Management Development Program.
