Here are some of the changes we have made and why:

  1. We have split the Junior series to run before and after Christmas. This will allow the changing of division or class that we see in the Junior Divisions.
  2. We have elevated the Championship Series to be the premier series to make it distinctly different from the Perpetual Series.
  3. The Seniors have a separate scratch and handicap series post Christmas so that sailors can still meaningfully participate in racing post Christmas if they have had a bad start to the season.
  4. We have added extra drops so that sailors can have one weekend a month off without being overly penalised.
  5. We have altered DNC, DNS, DNF, etc to be set off the number of starters for each weekend rather the number of boats entered in the division.
  6. We have avoided as many long holiday weekends to allow time for families or for families to participate in other regattas. We are hoping that Mordi families would be able to participate in these regattas together.
  7. We have added more social sailing opportunities in the calendar.
